This attention-catching coin features an image of the USS Arizona and the USS Missouri, respectively signifying the beginning and the ending of World War II. On the reverse side of the coin is a replica of the surrender seal which marks the spot over which the Instrument of Surrender was signed. Bronze finish with red enamel. Both of these ships now resides in the Historical Waters of Pearl Harbor Hawaii. The bow of the ship faces the Arizona Memorial intended to convey that Missouri now watches over the remains of Arizona so that those interred within Arizona's hull may rest in peace. The pairing of the two ships became an evocative symbol of the beginning and end of the United States participation in the war.
